# The starter I wish I'd had on every project.

Hi, I'm Mitchell. I build websites for a living, and for years I kept building the same one over and over.

Every new client project started from scratch: basic routing, new schema, new components… the same boilerplate I'd already written a dozen times. As a solo developer at a marketing agency, I lived in the gap between two things that never quite fit: moving fast, and shipping quality work I was actually proud of. *SanityPress* is what I built to close that gap. A foundation flexible by default, so a client's mid-project pivot is a content edit, not a code rewrite.

I open-sourced it without expecting much. Turns out a lot of other developers were fighting the same fight. I build in the open because the community tells you, better than you ever could yourself, whether a thing is actually useful. (It's also just how I'm wired. I like making weird but cool sh*t for the fun of it, like this [live MLB scorebug app](https://mlb.theohtani.com/schedule/day))
